Homework Equations

[tex]\[R = \frac{V}{I}\][/tex]

[tex]P=VI[/tex]

The Attempt at a Solution

a) Using KVL around the loop, I got [itex]V_{R}=6.3 V [/itex].
Then I used [itex]\R = \frac{V}{I}\[/itex] and got R = 1.4 ohms.

b)I used [itex]P=VI[/itex] and got P = 28.35 W.

Are my answers correct?
