Rocket5 to satellitte

  1. Nov 16, 2009 #1
I am in need of a function of a rocket that is launched to intercept a satellite at a certain speed. the only variables are the speed function of the rocket (the function that tells the rocket to turn on or turn off the engine) and the launch angle it is a single stage rocket with a M1 payload mass and M total mass at ignition. the rocket launches from directly under the orbit of the satellite.

the satellite is of a circular orbit and a known orbit speed and height

I have absolutly no knowledge of physics, being an applied math undergrad.
