Rotational motion

    1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data
    A uniform solid sphere with a mass M = 2.0 kg and a radius R = 0.10m is set into motion with an angular speed [tex]\omega[/tex]0= 70 rad/s. At t = 0 the sphere is dropped a short distance (without bouncing) onto a horizontal surface. There is friction between the sphere and the surface. Find the angular speed of rotation when the sphere finally rolls without slipping at time t = T


    3. The attempt at a solution
    I have tried both rotational and translational kinematics to solve this but it seems that I have not enough information. I am given initial velocity and time, I need to solve for final velocity. I think I still need another piece of information.
