Russian Revolutions etc.

    we are currently studying russia in history, particularly the 1905 and 1917 revolutions, as well as war communism 1918-1921. i'm interested in any opinions regarding this period.

    for discussion, things like:
    - the romanov family
    - particularly anastacia, whether she really did die in the house of special purpose, or was Anna Anderson perhaps the real anastacia
    - mistakes made my nicholas II and his capability as Czar
    - Rasputin's involvement with the royal family, also, your opinions on any "special powers" he might've had
    - the efficiency of first the Czarist government, then the temporary government, and finally lenin's government.

    really, i'm just interested in your opinion and views of this particular topic in history.

    "Special Powers"?
