Russian Revolutions etc.

  1. Jan 30, 2007 #1
we are currently studying russia in history, particularly the 1905 and 1917 revolutions, as well as war communism 1918-1921. i'm interested in any opinions regarding this period.

    for discussion, things like:
    - the romanov family
    - particularly anastacia, whether she really did die in the house of special purpose, or was Anna Anderson perhaps the real anastacia
    - mistakes made my nicholas II and his capability as Czar
    - Rasputin's involvement with the royal family, also, your opinions on any "special powers" he might've had
    - the efficiency of first the Czarist government, then the temporary government, and finally lenin's government.

really, i'm just interested in your opinion and views of this particular topic in history.
