It's that time of year again... I'm getting ready to take the subject test in physics this weekend, and of course I don't expect to do very well. My question is this: what are some safety schools to which I should apply? I'm currently pursuing a master's degree, my thesis topic is in computational biophysics. As a phd student, I'd *like* to move more toward the experimental side of things (either in biophysics, or perhaps condensed matter). My grad gpa is ~3.7 and my undergrad gpa is ~3.3. I have had a research assistantship as well as an internship with the department of defense this past summer - so I've at least shown some aptitude for research. Basically I'm worried my grades are going to hamper me, as well as possibly this pointless standardized test. Does anyone here know of some safety schools to which I should apply?
