Can someone briefly describe the budget approval process which takes place in most New Jersey (or any state) school districts? How does the allocation of State Aid benefit the poorest school districts? -------- I understand that schools are funded from two main sources of revenue. One is the state aid, and the other is the property taxes. Then the figures or amount of money is allocated. In the township the municipal then tries allocate the money and the people in the township would then vote to see if the budget approval process. If the people in the town and the schools don’t agree the Board of Education would try to decide, if this isn’t resolved the Commission of Education would then decide. Correct me if I’m wrong, I’m leaving out a lot of things.
