Schwarzschild singularity and black hole

    Are a Schwarzschild singularity and a black hole the same thing?

    The term "Schwarzschild singularity" has been used with several different meanings. It can mean a black hole; it can mean the horizon of the hole; or it can mean the singularity at ##r = 0##.
