Personally, I think this is a losing fight at this point in time, and for many excellent reasons. As much as I despise Second Life and the entire concept of MMO's as they exist at this level of technology, this is just establishing case-law (in Cali) and pecedent elsewhere. In my view, the issue is clear: people sign a binding contract for a completely voluntary service; break that and lose it.

I'd rather see DRM schemes being tried in the Hague (to reference Penny Arcade); fair use my butt.
