Semiclassical electron velocity in a periodic potential

  1. Semiclassical electron velocity in a periodic potential is [tex]v(k)=\langle \psi |p/m| \psi \rangle[/tex] But if we use the relation [tex]p/m=\frac{1}{i\hbar} [x,H][/tex] we earn v=0, while we know that it should be [tex]\frac{1}{\hbar} \frac{dE}{dk}[/tex] Why?
