Settle An Argument

  1. Jan 28, 2008 #1
The argument is simple. Conventional versus induction cooling on a car. I need an equation to help me express the 2 different configurations below.

Simple drawing representing the front of a car with a conventional scoop (fig 1.) and one with an induction scoop (fig 2.)

I considered treating it as a pressure differential between two spaces trying to equalize through an opening (the scoop) but it didn't seem to accurately reflect the situation.

Any ideas? Its a gentleman's bet and neither of us can seem to express the problem adequately.
