Seven habits of highly effective problem solvers

  1. Dec 26, 2003 #1
One thing that has always interested me is finding how others solve problems. I don't consider their method inferior/superior (unless they get the wrong result, of course ), but sometimes the analysis of thought processes of others can offer insight into your own.

Anyway, I revisted this musing on seven problem-solving habits, and I found most of them to be pretty insightful. Most of the techniques (if you choose to call them that) are not really new, but if anything it helps add structure to a process you probably already employ. I had my own names for most of those methods as well.
