Does anyone know any famous SHORT STORY authors who are from any country BUT NOT england, france, ireland, scotland, or north america? thanx

Alexander Kielland, very famous in Norway.
He lived in Ibsen's time, and is one of the "Great Four" of that time
(The other two were Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson and Jonas Lie)

Kjell Askildsen is a highly acclaimed present day writer of short stories.

Lu Xun, very famous and influential Chinese writer of the early twentieth century.
