Shotgun Licence Refused: 25 Years of Good Behaviour

I have had a shot gun for five years, used for clay shooting, but the law has
(reviewed) my case and refused a renewal, on the strenght of things i did in
the past, so now i have to hand in my beloved s57, i would have thought that 25yrs of good behaviour would have been good enough to show a reformed character.

Hopefully you can appeal. In the meantime, do you have a trusted friend to whom you could entrust it for safe keeping?

I would think 25 years of good behavior is sufficient to show a reformed character.

No i did by accident break a policemans finger, but that was 25 yrs ago, and he was poke ing me with it, that would be called assult now, and my reaction self defence.

I have been a law abiding guy for 25 yrs, but if i wanted to be a taxi driver
i would not be able, because of my (record), heck why do i get all the hassel, when murderers get away with 5 years in clink

"Accident?" Battery is battery. Were you informed at the time you applied for the license that it could be revoked if the moon phase changed? I'll do the "provincial" thing and point out that you primitives in the old country are "backward," licensing convicted felons to carry firearms, and then, this is the "backward" part, reviewing such licenses and revoking them on the basis of the original conviction.
