SNR Vs bandwidth limitations

  1. Jan 4, 2016 #1
Does SNR give a clue to bandwidth limitations? i. e. Would it help to figure out how the signal is distorted due to the limitation of the bandwidth?
I think answer is "no" though.

Yes, SNR and usable bandwidth are interrelated. You want to read up on "signal detection theory".
