The aerospace industry (at least those companies that I've dealt with, keeping in mind that I'm not an AE) is centered on the west coast, in Texas, and in Washington DC. I'd probably stay in Southern California... the weather is a lot nicer as well.

While California may offer higher salaries, the cost of living may also be higher, making it important to consider the overall financial impact when making a decision. It is also important to research the specific cities and areas within each state to determine the cost of living in the locations you may be considering for work or education.

What is the overall outlook for the aerospace industry in CA and PA?

Both California and Pennsylvania have strong aerospace industries and are home to many major aerospace companies and research facilities. However, the outlook for the industry may vary depending on the specific field and location.
