Homework Help: Soil mechanics

    hi all
    this must be a easy question for the civil people ....can any1 plz help as i got no civil background. ive asked my brother who's doing phd in civil but he's too busy on his work.

    i think we need to find the strength of the soil first then use it to calculate the number of footings.
