In summary, two individuals attempted suicide, with one making a third attempt. It is speculated that they may have been under the influence of drugs. Despite their determination, they were not successful and were fortunate to survive. Some may attribute their survival to luck or a higher power. There is also mention of a 103-year-old man who recently published a new book.

I don't know why they were attempting to kill themselves.

But, they both were very determined. One was going for the 3rd attempt which IMO is unusual.

I wonder if they felt suicidal because they never do anything right, as they proved here again.

My mother used to say that: "Aunt Evelyn lived to be 100 (despite being a raging alcoholic) because she basically had been pickling herself for all of these years."

1. What does "Some people just don't die" mean?

"Some people just don't die" refers to the phenomenon of individuals living longer than the average human lifespan. These people, often referred to as "supercentenarians," live to be 110 years or older.

2. Why do some people live longer than others?

There are several factors that contribute to why some people live longer than others. Genetics play a role, as some people may inherit genes that promote longevity. Lifestyle choices, such as a healthy diet and regular exercise, can also contribute to a longer lifespan. Additionally, access to quality healthcare and a supportive social network may also play a role.

3. Is there a maximum human lifespan?

While there is no definitive answer to this question, studies have shown that the maximum human lifespan is likely around 120-122 years. This is based on the fact that the oldest documented person lived to be 122 years and 164 days old. However, it is possible that advances in medicine and technology may continue to increase the maximum human lifespan in the future.

4. Are there any health risks associated with living longer?

Yes, there are potential health risks associated with living longer. As the body ages, it becomes more susceptible to age-related diseases such as dementia, cancer, and heart disease. Additionally, older individuals may also face challenges related to decreased mobility and physical function.

5. Can anyone live to be 110 years or older?

While it is possible for some people to live to be 110 years or older, it is not a common occurrence. Only a small percentage of the population falls into this category. Factors such as genetics, lifestyle, and access to healthcare all play a role in determining an individual's potential lifespan.
