Soooo slow

  1. Aug 13, 2006 #1
I think my capacity for abstract mathematical thought has been completely degraded to a point of utter uselessness. I have not touched much rigorous mathematics since school ended. I tried doing some math problems today and I was lost; I had no idea what to do.

Does anyone else feel this happens to them over the summer?

Maybe I am just overestimating how good I used to be at math.

I hear ya  I too have not done any real math since the spring semester ended. A few days ago I started reading Spviak's Calculus, and once I was out of the trivial proofs I had no clue how to do anything. School starts in a week, and I am hoping to spend this week getting back into the groove.
