Sound in a box, in space.

  1. Jun 5, 2008 #1
This is a very dumb question, but lets say you were in a 2x2x2m box that had air and a big speaker playing loud music. What would it sound like inside the box, if there is no matter outside the box to absorb the sound?

My guess is, you wouldn't be able to hear it unless you were to press your ear against the box, inside the box it would sound normal.

If you are inside the box, it sounds relatively normal.
