One person spent most of their break in the lab and helping friends with their work, while the other plans to spend their upcoming break catching up on research. They also mention feeling the need for a break from the break and having differing opinions on the importance of enjoying their youth.

Spring break is almost over...

I spent almost my entire spring break in the lab catching up on my research project (I'm a nerd) and helping some friends with their stuff. This past week I had been putting in about 14 hours a day, a lot more than I usually do when I'm not on break. I'm glad we only get one break per semester because I need a break from the break. I should really go out and enjoy my youth while I still can.

I have spring break in two weeks, and I plan to spend catching up on research as well. Don't worry, enjoying things is overrated!

I understand the importance of balancing work and leisure time. It sounds like you have been working diligently during your spring break, and it is admirable that you are dedicated to your research project. However, it is also important to take breaks and enjoy your youth while you can. Taking breaks can actually improve productivity and creativity, so it is important to find a balance between work and leisure time. Perhaps you can plan some fun activities for the remaining days of your break to recharge and refresh your mind before returning to your research. Remember, self-care is crucial for success in any field.
