Hi, I am a student whos trying to achieve some camera tracking and speed control of a trolley.
and I am kinda lost, don't know where to start with, hence urgently need experts advice.(supervisor couldn't help much)
Could someone please suggests me where to look at or any product that's available off the shelf ?
- a chip or ready off shelf processing unit which could do simple image processing, in real time. - and also associated software needed for the coding part?

Anyone know if this can be achieve within a couple of thousand dollars?

Thank you.

There are a few options available that can help you with the camera tracking and speed control of your trolley. One option is to use an embedded computer, such as an Arduino or Raspberry Pi, along with a compatible camera module and associated software. This will give you the ability to process images in real-time which is necessary for camera tracking. You can then use an appropriate motor controller to adjust the speed of the trolley. Depending on the complexity of the project, the total cost could be anywhere from a few hundred dollars to several thousand dollars.

1. How do chips handle image processing?

The process of image processing involves converting an image into digital form and performing various operations on it to enhance or extract useful information. Chips, also known as integrated circuits, use a combination of hardware and software to handle image processing tasks.

2. What type of image processing can chips handle?

Chips can handle simple image processing tasks such as resizing, rotating, and adjusting color and contrast. They can also perform more complex tasks such as edge detection, noise reduction, and pattern recognition.

3. Can chips handle real-time image processing?

Yes, chips are designed to handle image processing tasks in real-time. With advancements in technology, chips have become more powerful and can handle complex image processing tasks at a faster rate.

4. Are there any limitations to what chips can handle in image processing?

While chips are capable of handling many image processing tasks, they do have some limitations. They may struggle with tasks that require a large amount of memory or processing power, or tasks that involve complex algorithms.

5. How important are chips in the field of image processing?

Chips play a crucial role in image processing as they provide the necessary hardware and software components to handle various tasks. Without chips, image processing would be much slower and more challenging to accomplish.
