Tangential Speed

    1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data
    A 0.700 kg ball is on the end of a rope that is 0.60 m in length. The ball and rope are attached to a pole and the entire apparatus, including the pole, rotates about the pole's symmetry axis. The rope makes an angle of 70.0° with respect to the vertical as shown. What is the tangential speed of the ball?

    I know that in order to solve this problem I need to find time, but I'm not sure how to do that. I know that I need time to be abel to find w and that r=0.60m I think. Any help would be great. Thank you. There is a picture that is attached to help with the problem.

    Start by analyzing the forces that act on the ball. Apply Newton's 2nd law. Is the ball accelerating?

    It has centripetal acceleration.Break the forces acting into components.You will get relation of T,and another relation with centripetal acc.Equate and u will get V.
