What information do you get from TEM images and how do yo obtain it? I am analyzing hydroxyapatite (ceramic).

In TEM the darker regions are more dense, heavier atoms. And the lighter regions are less dense, lighter atoms. Like carbon.
You can try fast Fourier transform via image analysis program like imageJ or Fiji
