Homework Help: Tension on rope

    1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data
    An object of 50kg mass is attached to a rope of 50m length with a hook. The rope is hooked at the other end to a fixed point on a helicopter.
    The object is dropped from a height of 100m.
    What will be the tension on rope?
    No other parameters are available. What are the other parameters required to solve the problem and what are the equations to be used?
