Tensor waves

  1. Oct 3, 2006 #1
Does the term 'Tensor Waves' exist, & if so, does anyone have any useful links to the definition, & the use of such phenomena?

    Thanks so much.

I've never heard the term. However, there certainly can be propagating wave modes of tensors. For example, gravitational waves are propagating perturbations of the metric tensor.
