Tex software

    i need software that allows me to read a tex file any recommendations?

    What os are you using? Under unix you can use xdvi, under windows I just use miktex, which lets you preview it.

    anyother softwares?
    btw im using win 98.

    You can get MikTeX, which runs on all currently produced Windows OS's, for free along with WinEdt, a windows based graphical user interface.

    I think there might be an easier way though. I believe there exist TeX readers for Windows... where they are, I do not know.
