The best Pump

  1. Dec 25, 2008 #1
    Hi all,
I want to know the details of the pumps such as

    • [*]Which of the pump has the highest head?
[*]Which one has the Highest Discharge?
[*]The one highly recommended for lubrication oils?

    • [*]What is the real physical meaning of head?
[*]The relation between Head and Discharge in physical terms....

    Thank You.,., Expecting your Reply

"Head" is static pressure. For the rest of that, we need to know the application to know what type of pump is best for it.

generally, for similarly sized units, reciprocating pumps have high head & low discharge & centrifugal pumps have low head & high discharge.
