Homework Help: The integral of arcsin x

  1. Mar 15, 2010 #1
    1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data
solve for the inegral of arcsinx dx

    2. Relevant equations

    3. The attempt at a solution
Im trying to sovle it using integrations by parts.

    the interal of arcsinx dx = x arcsinx - integral (x dx)/(sqrt (1-x^2))

What is the integral of integral (x dx)/(sqrt (1-x^2)) ?

    Thanks in advance.

    Try a u substitution u=(1-x^2).
