The "top 10% of your year/class" requirement for postgrad admissions? I am hugely interested in a program for master studies after I complete my graduation in 2012 and one of the requirements they list says ,"Students must belong to top 10% of their year". I am not among top 10% of my class so I wanted to know from people who have been in such programs/grad schools that how much does this point matter in admissions? What are the odds of me being getting admitted if I am among top 25-30% of my class? Or it's a tactic by the school to invite applications from top students only and really wont matter once candidates apply ?
