The ultimate Science Fiction quiz.

In summary: Silent Running is about an earthship that runs on silent running technology, so they can't hear the environment and it's a kind of metaphor for running from the government.

Okay all you SF fans out there, just how much of a fan are you?

The following is a triva quiz I've cooked up. How many can you get right?

A couple of ground rules first:

1.No googling for the answers. (I can't really stop you, but since this quiz is only for fun, you'd be just cheating yourself.) Other resources, like your own personal library are okay.

2.Do not post your answers to this thread! It spoils the fun for others who might want to give the quiz a try on their own.

3. If you want, you can post how many you think or know you can answer, just not the Answers.

4. If you want to check your answers, PM me with your answers and I'll tell you how well you did.

If you can get a majority of these questions right you can call yourself a true SF fan. If you can get all of them correct, then I think its time to move out of your parent's basement!

I'm know almost nothing about SF.
I know 10 and 25... and have a good guess at 11, 12 and 20.
Um, why not start another thread about the answers?

I know number 8 as well, that's a funny one :) Would be bad for me to list Douglas Adams as one of my interests and not know the answer

I know one of them... the war of the worlds question.

  • #10
I have partial confidence in being able to answer 4.

I know 22, 24, 27.

I kick myself for not knowing 28, since I am a big A.C. Clarke fan.
