Theoretical/Experimental stream?

  1. Feb 21, 2005 #1
A few months later, I will have a choice between "theoretical physics stream" and "applied physics stream". but i don't know which one is more suitable for me.

In high school, I would definitely choose theoretical stream coz I hated doing experiment so much. But after one semester in university, I find that experiments can be quite challenging and interesting. I got an A in exp but other course such as math, astronomy, intro to mechanics etc got only B or B-....

my tutor said that very few people can be proficient in both........ but I don't know why it is so......

did you guys have similar experience? can you share your opinion?
