In summary, "there's a question of dimension" refers to the idea that there may be multiple dimensions to consider when trying to understand a concept. The concept of dimensions varies depending on the context, with physics typically having three dimensions and mathematics referring to the number of independent variables. While there is currently no evidence of experiencing dimensions beyond the three dimensions of space, some theories suggest the existence of higher dimensions. Dimensions are also closely related to time, with time being considered the fourth dimension in physics. Understanding dimensions is crucial in science as it allows for a deeper understanding of the world and can lead to breakthroughs in research.

As known,we can use 3 basic dimensions to represent other dimensions, but how to represent I with L,M,T?

For example, [itex] 1 = 1s \times 1Hz = 1 \frac{s}{s} [/itex] or [itex] 1 = 1 \frac{kg m}{s} \times 1\frac{s}{kg m}[/itex]

I don't think there is another possibility ...

1. What does it mean when someone says "there's a question of dimension"?

"There's a question of dimension" is a phrase that is often used in scientific and mathematical discussions. It refers to the idea that there may be multiple dimensions or aspects to consider when trying to understand a concept or phenomenon.

2. How many dimensions are there?

The concept of dimensions is complex and varies depending on the context. In physics, there are typically three dimensions (length, width, and height), but theories such as string theory propose the existence of additional dimensions. In mathematics, dimensions can refer to the number of independent variables required to describe a space or object.

3. Can we experience dimensions other than the three dimensions of space?

Currently, there is no scientific evidence that we can directly experience dimensions beyond the three dimensions of space. However, some theories suggest that there may be higher dimensions that we are unable to perceive with our senses.

4. How do dimensions relate to time?

Time is often considered the fourth dimension in physics, as it is necessary to describe the movement of objects in space. However, some theories suggest that time may also exist in multiple dimensions.

5. Why is understanding dimensions important in science?

Dimensions are a fundamental concept in science, as they allow us to describe and understand the world around us. By considering different dimensions, scientists can gain new insights and make breakthroughs in their research.
