Three-Factorial Analysis of Variance

  1. Apr 23, 2013 #1
    1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data

    I understand how the two factor analysis of variance works but adding a third level is giving me some trouble.

    The model I am trying to analyze has three factors with 2,3, and 4 levels respectively.

    Can anyone give me an example of a three-factor analysis of variance calculation?

    2. Relevant equations

    SS_T = SS_A + SS_B + SS_C + SS_AB + SS_AC + SS_CB + SS_ABC + SS_E

    3. The attempt at a solution

    My main problem concerns how to calculate the SS_A term now that there is an extra level? I would really appreciate just an example of three factor analysis.
