You really don't have much of a life, do you?

Actually, that is kinda interesting in a "I'm ashamed to admit it" sort of way.

lol Gail...did you sleep through the 4th grade?

A couple more. Hey, it's exciting to me.

You are not.
You aren't.
You're not.

They are not.

Multiple contractions amuse me. For example,

You'd've done something.
I'd've done it too!
But he wouldn't've done it at all!

my english teacher would kill me if i wrote that hurkyl

You people are so lame.

...
...

Did you know there's actually a noun for throwing someone out of a window!
Defenestration, that's so cool. Quick, someone use that in their sig!

Haha, thanks evo...
how about

I would not.
I wouldn't.
I'd not.

I could have.
I could've.
I'd have.

Its looking like "not" is the common thing... hmm... We should all just say I'dn't or We'ren't, then we wouldn't have this issue at all.

Know what else is cool... I'd could mean tons of different things; I could, I would, I should, I did... contractions are weird! Maybe i did sleep through 4th grade... (its probably a good thing I'm not an english major, imagine how goofy i'd look getting excited about this in class... )

[edit] dammit, i took too long to post... hurkly said the double contraction thing first...

We'ren't.

Y'aren't

Th'aren't

Then

I'dn't

I'd've

wasn't - wesn't - wisn't - wosn't - wusn't and sometimes wysn't

Then the old stand by

coulda - woulda - shoulda

Actually, the consistent form would be "I amn't" and my little brother use to say it this way when he was learning to talk. He'd also say "I can't want to." I liked this so still say this every now and then myself.

this is very dumb...but I'll have my fun too:

Off topic sort of, but there are 3 ways to pronounce the name Andrea.
Spelled Phonetically: Ahhn-drea, AAn-drea, and Ahhn-dree-ya...

  • #21
Am I the only one who pronounced all 3 pronounciations the same way?

I was sitting there saying "Andrea, Andrea, Andrea" wait.. i don't get it.

  • #22
Ahh = pronounce it like you're yawning
AAn = pronounce it like you're saying "ant"
