I'm someone with only a decent undergraduate physics education, but a strong interest in it over the decades since. I find Scientific American articles fluffy and superficial, and will readily dive into the original journal papers. But my understanding of these is typically pretty incomplete, and I really need some discussion at experience levels in between these two extremes. And here it is!
