TI-83 Programming

  1. Aug 7, 2003 #1
    I need the software for Windows XP to write programs that can be sent to my TI-83plus Calc (it has a little TI keypad and you can type the program on the computer instead of on the calc itself). I have an old version of it called Winlink83. It doesn't work anymore, however. I bought a link the other day but it doesn't come with the programming software. Anyone know where I can find it?

    I've come across a million links that claim that say someting like, "You'll need Winlink, which you can find at the TI webpage." But I have searched through that site exhaustively and cannot find it for download.

    Let me see if I understand you correctly. The reason your old Winlink83 isn't working is because it isn't winXP compatible, is this correct, or did the files become corrupted?
    Could it be possible that no such XP compatible software exists at this time?

    I looked around earlier in the day and thought I was getting close to comming up with something workable but decided you would know better what was needed and didn't save the link, sorry about that.

    Try the seventh one down here;

    Is that it?

    No... that's not it. I once upon a time had a disk for the software and I installed it on my computer. I threw out the disk because I'm a moron, and now I want to transfer the files to another computer. I saved all the relevant folders to a disk and copied and pasted. The program works (it opens), but it can't connect to my calculator. I think it's a problem with the software since I may not have transfered all the necessary files. It's not that big of a deal... just means I have to type my programs on that cumbersome keypad on my calculator.

    Sorry that wasn't it.

    I have found some pages saying to get winlink at the TI site. Unfortunately, every site that provides the link provides the same link and that particular page has been terminated by TI. They don't seem to offer it anymore as best as I can tell. I'm glad I have an HP .

    Anyway, here are some links I came across but they don't look too promising either. I'll look some more later. An idea that came to me was to try and find people who own this calculator and see if they got the software with it.
