  1. Aug 2, 2009 #1
    Can anyone please help me with this question?

    An electric toaster designed to operate at 240V RMS has a power rating of 600W.
    what is the resistance of the heating element in the toaster?

    Well, what have you tried? What are your thoughts? We can't (and/or won't) help you unless you give us something to work with.

    Power = V2/R

    Rearrange that formula and solve for resistance.
