Homework Help: Torque in a charged ring outside a magnetic field

    1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data

    torque = MxB.
    3. The attempt at a solution

    as the ring is completely outside the magnetic field, B=0.... even if its not, M=iA, and since the charge is static, i=0.

    so, as per my thinking, ans. should be 0....
