Torque: True or False

    Do both these two pictures have the same moments?

    Yes, if you use the formula, you will notice they have the same moments and direction (using right hand) . Is this correct?

    Yep. Only the component of force perpendicular to the length L contributes to the torque about point A. The perpendicular component is the same in both cases.
