Toshiba 6963 display driver

  1. Dec 15, 2007 #1
I was wondering if anyone here has experience using a Toshiba 6963 LCD graphic display driver. Said device is on a 3rd party display module and so far the data sheet makes NO sense to me at all. It appears to me from the Toshiba data sheet that the driver is designed to drive a display up to 80 pixels wide. The third party module is using it to drive a 160 x 128 display. I'm not sure how they drive a display twice as wide as the 6963 specs. The Toshiba data sheet mentions driving 2 displays but this is in the Y axis (stacked on top of each other), not the X axis. That part is secondary. I'd like to first understand using the 6963. So far the data sheets make less than perfect sense to me.
