TP600 power supply

  1. May 13, 2005 #1
I have a problem with the battery for TP600 (no wonder, eh?)
I did very bad, bad thing- kept the battery while being on AC. One day the computer was bloody hot underneath. I removed the battery, and now I have a problem.
Even without the battery the computer tells me that the power source is BATTERY (if I try to convince Him it is AC He woulnd not budge), and the battery has 0% charge. Now if I connect the battery it says that it has 75% charge but the computer will not work on it, it will just go off without AC adapter.

So I am just wondering, did I kill something in the laptop itself, or it may accept new battery and behave seemly? Do not want to vaste 25% of the computer price on a trial battery..
