Using GUI; different results obtained if drawn in different ways

  1. Apr 30, 2010 #1
I am using the GUI for drawing 3 layers with a cut-out surface to simulate the stress on application of a pressure (2D simulation). I use the "glue" to join the layers. I have noticed that if I draw rectangular blocks the results have good deformation (high stresses); however if I draw keypoints--> lines--> areas through lines, the solver gives low deformation (low stresses). But I have used exactly similar boundary and load conditions in both models. Please do let me know your suggestions.
