V belt question

    1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data
    in the picture, what is the 'tight side' of the v belt on pulley c?

    2. Relevant equations


    3. The attempt at a solution
    is it the F1 side? I don't know how to identify this

    Yes. You can check by doing a torque balance.
