    Of course it's safe now! This kind of accident simply can't happen twice.

    I fully expect this to happen many, many more times, with much more serious consequences. Only recently has there been so much personal information, in so easily transportable formats, in the hands of so many careless employees. It'll be years before anything changes, though I'm not sure what will change first.
