Homework Statement


A plane lands with a velocity of 111.1 m /s and accelerates at a maximum rate of -6.8 m/s^2
Fom the instant the plane touches the runway, what is the minimum time needed before it can come to rest.
Part 2 the plane is landing on a naval aircraft carrier that is 0.80km long. What distance does the plane require to land answer in units of km.

Ok i managed to get the first part using t = Vf-Vi /a. Which is 16.33sec

Now the second part i know i got to change km to m but i cant figure out what else to do.
Can someone help me

You need to use a kinematic equation that involves distance. You know everything you need to solve for it.
