Visualizing Linear Transformations With Mathematica

  1. Oct 29, 2013 #1
    Hello,
I am trying to figure out if there is some way that I could have mathematica generate a Cartesian coordinate system whose axes would shift according to some linear transformation that I apply to it.

I have been able to find a tool on mathematica's website that will show how the transformation changes a polygon ( http://demonstrations.wolfram.com/LinearTransformationsOfAPolygon ) but not one that will change the coordinate system.

( I think that seeing this would help people understand what is actually happening when you try and find an eigenvector.)
    Thanks for any help.
