We have a set of amazing photos for voting this week. So this could be another tough contest.

Please vote for the picture that best represents our theme - Born Free - i.e. animals that are not in captivity.

Get your votes in! Voting has been rather slow so far for this contest.

Still a rather low number of votes for this contest, even though Marzena is pulling away from the rest of the field.

Can she maintain the lead, or will someone catch her in the last 2 days of voting? Cast your vote now!

With a few hours to go, the votes are VERY close. 1 vote separates the top 3!

    Cast your vote now!

The garter snake is pretty, but there are two very cute Polish entrants. Let's see how this one comes out.

I'm pretty surprised that Aleph's mouse hasn't garnered a single vote. I hate having mice around (thus my fondness for large garter snakes), but that's a pretty cute pic.

    Poles are surprised as well.

Voting is always unpredictable (unless someone posts cute kid).

"Winner takes all" = "if everybody thinks it's the second best/cutest photo, it gets no votes".

I guess that explains why the 3 people who commented about it didn't vote for it

    BTW it's a rat, not a mouse.

I've just got back on line after a major PC failure - a mains power surge took out the hard disk (fried the electronics), and also seriously scrambled the external disk that contained my data backup, which was being updated when the power surged!

Recovering my back catalog of photos is near the bottom of the to-do list right now...

That's a drag AlephaZero. I went through a similar thing a while back losing pictures that were never backed up. So I added a second internal drive and backup everything now; regularly.

I know. Lets put them all in one big cage. "Winner takes all" = "only one left in cage" :bugeye:
