Our Ghosts contest seems to have attracted a lot of interest, both in photo submission and discussion of photography tricks. Who knew there would be a lot of ghost sightings here on PF? So you have plenty to choose from this week.

Very nice photos from everybody, I think! And congratulations to Enigman and zoobyshoe!

ZapperZ, by the way, what is that effect on your photo? Is it a projection on some kind of semi-transparent film?

Yes, time for the confession. Here's how I did it: I know a medium called Ursyela (technically she's a holistic astral crystal channeler) and she summoned...oh wait...this isn't psychics forum, right?

This is how I did it:

I first wrote the text with my left hand to get it a bit "shaky" (I'm right-handed). Then I simply attached (with glue) a thin dark string to the top of the pencil. This string was at the other end attached to a plastic rod hanging over the scene, i.e. above the picture and not visible. The background is a black jacket supported by a table. I turned off all lights and lit a candle to create a spooky atmosphere. I then fiddled with the pencil, string and the supporting rod until I got the pencil to point and touch the "F" in "PF". When equilibrium was achieved, I got behind the camera and shot a couple of pictures, and put the best one into this contest. So you got it right Enigman, I used a string . This is the image with descriptions:

There are a number of ways I think I could have done it differently, and here's three possibilities:

### Enigman

Alternative 4: Call Enigman and take the picture of a mirror image.

### DennisN

By the way, Enigman, what is and where did you take your photo? (I really liked it)

8. Mar 15, 2014

### Enigman

Nothing too dramatic, just a guy after a rainy day (hence the sinister looking raincoat) on a lake in a ravaged boat.

### PhysicoRaj

That was actually a ghost..

### Enigman

If you are talking about the black rod like thing on the left, I believe it was a pillar (and its reflection) to tie boats to.
