Please cast your vote for the picture best reprenting the theme 'melt'
I'll kick it off. We have had an extremely warm period since mid February, and the snow-melt has saturated the ground. I took this photo of a brand-new groundwater spring two weeks ago, and it's still flowing. The water is bubbling up through a nearly circular hole several inches across, forming a "delta" of silt and sand in the ditch. All of the snow you see here is gone, but melt-water from higher up the hill in the woods is still keeping the water table high and pressurizing the little spring. It looks like a little Yellowstone mud-pot without the steam and hot water.
