We could put a small banner on the website directing people to vote. Maybe a little incentive as well. Probably a badge saying "I voted today" which lasts for the course of the voting period (or for just one day).

I am not in favor of this.

If this was a special contest, such as the Orodruin's book giveaway, then sure. But the photo contest is a very small part, and frankly, a side diversion, to this forum. This is The PHYSICS Forum, and that should be its main focus, not some photo contest.

It should not be blown way out of proportion to what it is supposed to be.

I completely understand. It would sway too far from the forums original cause. Good point. The photo contest is a bit like a community event rather than a main event.
